I found two people who explicitly said "I agree":
| pbroy said: I agree. 4K Blu-ray with the best looking multi-plats should be an inticing offer to many. Let's not forget the TV Guide capabilities with built in IR blaster. 😍 Also, if Switch fails to deliver Achievements, there's gonna be a lot of disappointed people. |
| PotentHerbs said: I do agree, though we gotta see Scorpio's price, 3 to 1 is very iffy. |
On top of that, there were at least a dozen people who said the Xbox One would outsell the Switch, and that 4 million was realistic for this year.
| celador said: 4m for Scorpio is straight up crazy. It would be amazing if it hit half of that. |
4 million for the Switch this year is reasonable. 6 million is possible if a Pokémon is released and bundled at $299 during the holidays.
In reality, the Switch is on pace to double that without Pokémon or a price cut.

Multiplat games. Hundreds of them. Truth is it's only gaming forums that exclusives are fetishized. Regular gamers just mainly want access to the major multiplats, that's 90% of their gaming diet. "Message board gamers" are like restaurant snobs in some ways, only eating certain kinds of foods, regular games don't really care about that shit, they just want a decent restaurant to sit in, maybe one that has some good nachos as a starter and a good steak. XBox One S has plenty of games. More good games than any reasonable human being with any semblance of social/work/school life would even have time to play through. |
Wow, Soundwave. You've really changed your tune since then.

I am willing to bet a lot that the XB1 will outsell the Switch this year. |
Barney wins a special kind of award for saying this after the Switch had already launched.
