But we're talking about comparing a game that is limited by the install base to a game that is not.  Despite the practically 100% attach rate, Zelda not going to sell more than the console itself (though it actually did in the US for a few weeks) which makes the comparison asinine if you dont take that into consideration.

You're absolutely right that it has to be taken into consideration (more so for Zelda than average even), but it's also a highly context dependent variable. I expect in this instance you were doing it in response to Kerotan doing the same, but i always wince regardless :p
