Each region had a different time period, Jap First, then EU then the US, could play for 12 hours in total. Also got to see some of the crazy cool Jap artwork during that fest.

For some messed up reason the game only let me play European one even though I have accounts for all regions. Tried the others in all accounts but only said no splatfest occurring or whatever. And my teammates never backed me up. Once I went beast mode and killed three of the opponents in a line then in the last 10 seconds they ganged up on me and killed me. Looked at the map looked like I was fighting them alone my team made no dent. I would cover ink relentlessly and get the majority boom sneak attack respawn look at map what the hell its all opponent now. I tried being the lone guy who wear the paint on his face and goes to the front line to die but it just wasn't me. The dualies were not made for me and I was stuck with the worst beginner splattershot. Had to make due the flying ability was cool did a lot of damage. Lost a lot at first but later I did what I do best and that's to ink every cm of the stage all the spots overlooked which really helped gaining the edge in close match ups sneak and attack the enemies run away a little when they came right at me but then bam. Also annoying them by standing in a corner then painting over their ink. If they get restless bam gone. The rollers were the easiest for me just back up and shoot even if they try the vertical shot or horizontal they don't get enough time. My worst matches were when team ice got good snipers. I'm there doing my business up close killing people spraying ink but then bam how did I die oh of course stupid sniper. Try to sneak up on them no one gives me any backup they are all doing their thing so I get outnumbered even if I handle the closer opponents the sniper notices it and then bam. The hulk pinch like special was really annoying as well because it came out of nowhere. The homing beacon one was really easy to dodge and gave no trouble. The dualies required a lot of practice and I realized it so let them be until the main game plus their special sucked compared to flying and shooting all the ice cream loving idiots. I noticed that team cake had a lot of novices or I got paired with a lot of them cause many times I had way more points then I should from all my teammates. I am above average not that good but not that bad but the noobs just repawned to die again and again and were just really annoying. Really annoyed that ice cream won by just 2 pc difference in single wins. About half of my matches never started too for some reason even though internet was working fine
