I don't believe that for a second. People wouldn't have hunted, domesticated and eaten those animals in the first place if they didn't already taste delicious. Do you really think pre-historic people sat around thinking "wow, cow really tastes like shit. But hey, if we put a lot of time and effort in to it maybe we can make it taste good for future generations"?

Besides, plenty of other non-domesticated animals also taste great with no selective breeding whatsoever...

we did have something to do with it though. they would have been entirely edible back then, i'll give you that, but selective breeding has had an effect on the taste and overall quality of the different meats that we eat. and yes, we do also eat a lot of non-domesticated animals. duck tastes great and ive heard venicon is good, but they are not as meaty and tender as store bought meats. thats really the point i was trying to make
