Besides, opening up more factories takes time and TONNES of money, and they were working on that since febuary after pre orders went out.

If they wanted to limit supply, WHY whould they freaking AIR LIFT switches at launch when every air lifted console is a loss? The increased production should be kicking of soon if not heading to stores anout now.

 

Although they MIGHT be limiting stock RIGHT now this month to have like a milion units for splatoon launch day in japan. And also more in the rest of the world. They'll definetly airlift to japan this month...

 

And remember the march stock was around 3 months worth of switches at the very least, maybe even longer. And they are keeping pace with every system's 3 month launch numbers so far to boot.

I think you're mistaking me for saying i believe Nintendo is limiting stock. Don't worry, i know the cause of there being a lack of stock is something out of Nintendo's control, being the struggle for parts.
