The WiiU was a console - something that's dead in Japan. Plus, as I said we don't know whether Nintendo advertised the game in Japan. If 10 system owners have the choice of 10 games, the average sale per game would lower than if those 10 system owners had 1 game to buy.

Wii U sold much better in 1st year than Vita and PS4, and W101 bombed also globally not just in Japan. And like people mentioned, Wii U had much less games than Switch in same time, so why more people didnt buy W101, if your point is that ARMS sold good because people didn't had nothing to play!?
