I do want to make that clear, I'm not putting down the PS4, it has sold exceptionally well. But the two ideas are not a contradiction, that the PS4 is doing remarkably well and the Switch being in higher demand at this time. The Switch is a new console with a strong launch and several promising exclusives on the horizon. I'm not gloating, just calling it like I see it.
And also, I do think that the PS4 and Switch can coexist. It's the Xbox One that I think faces the greatest threat from the Switch, since it deprives it of secondary console sales as well as providing yet another platform with stronger exclusive offerings.
