Well, no, the the PS4 is the most wanted console. When the recently launched Switch can actually outsell the 4 year old PS4 instead of getting outsold 2:1 every week, maybe you will be right. 

What a fallacy that people keep bringing up. The PS4 is enjoying its best year ever so far, it's selling better than during its launch year. And that's not surprising as the console is cheaper now and has a much bigger library.

And most-wanted doesn't equal most sold. Switch is supply constrained. Just look at Amazon, it's being sold for €420 without a game bundled in. You can buy two PS4's for that. So yes, Nintendo Switch is the most wanted console at the moment. How do you think the base PS4 would sell on Amazon if it costed €420 without a game bundled in? Hint: it wouldn't sell at all.
