The comment was originally in response to the claim that it is ironic that she's being attacked because she pissed on an American flag, which is symbolic of freedom of expression.

That symbolism is somewhat debatable these days. Anyway, even if we assume it has that symbolic value, it should still be obvious to everyone her intention wasn't to 'piss on freedom of expression' but to show what must be tolerated if freedom of expression is wanted. To see this as a bad thing, you must not be even trying to see the point.
