Ultimately, Trump responds to a media that's objectively unfair to him. I think it works best for him if he responds, otherwise he's just a punching bag.

No, Trump reacts to the media which is unfair to him 1% of the time as if it is 100% of the time. That is the problem.

He's not saying that there was one instance, he is saying that all media that is not constantly praising him is fake. That is dictator level of media bashing.

Either you don't listen to the media much or you're incredibly bias against Trump. The propaganda for anything Trump does is ridiculous and that's why the media has lost so much credibility.

Trump could refute any negative press, I mean there is such a thing as opposing views. But focusing on the unfair bashing fills enough time, the propaganda and constant speculating with little or no facts. Why does this happen? Ratings!
