I think you missed some information in the report. They are not saying hardware sales didn't increase or people didn't buy the machines for GTA4. They are saying that as a market item to appeal to more people, GTA4 didn't increase the demand for the consoles. People who bought the console were already waiting for GTA4.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
