You mean new games like Zelda, ARMS, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Fire Emblem Warriors, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Fire Emblem, Yoshi, Kirby, Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon... Or perhaps you meant third party partners bringing games like Shin Megami Tensei V, Lost Sphere, Dragon Quest XI, Octopath Traveler, Sonic Lost World.... The majority of the Switch's library this year is not ports (Zelda is cross gen). And it's not like this is new. PS4 had a significant number of ports in its first 12 months as well. Difference of course being that the Nintendo is bringing three of its strongest IPs to the fray with new entries plus a significant new IP plus a new crossover plus an entry in a very ambitious RPG franchise. Sony's 2013 and 2014 showing was nowhere near this fleshed out. So no, they're not getting ridiculous. And I owned a Wii U. Really don't care. In fact, I am glad to see ports like Pokken and Bayo 2, games that deserve a second shot on a platform with far better sales. Also makes sense if they are testing the waters for a potential Bayo 3 deal. |
Sonic Lost World was a Wii U game.
I'm guessing you mean either Sonic Forces or Sonic Mania.
