absurd. on the Eshop you'd pay like 5$ a title and end up spending more on these games. Beyond that, obviously there's value to people in LIFE to have a convenient package. For old games in particular, when it can be difficult plugging in old systems. This is a nice little mini package with HDMI hookups.

I think you're deliberately being dense about why this is a popular item/idea for some sort of ulterior motives (i.e. maybe you don't like Nintendo?).

I mean people were spending $50 on Atari Flashbacks for years, and those things are awful.

AT minimum the NES Classic proved to be pretty great emulation (much better than Nintendo's Eshop NES games), and of good build quality. The arguments of "oh I'll just emulate them online" or "some other company released a compilation on a disc for a better price" are not really apt comparisons because this is obviously a product that is aimed at people who want something to plug into their TV, and who specifically are fond of this particular NIntendo system.

Your complaints just make no sense. If Sony released a Playstation Classic I would not magically make any of the same claims you're making either. It's just illogical.

Now if this stems from frustration of not being able to get one due to Nintendo potentially understocking- I understand your frustration. It's absurd that NIntendo potentially won't be restocking the NES Classic considering the demand. But obviously there is massive demand for these products and frankly demand decides value/price in a market. People are willing to pay what they're willing to pay.

Your thread does seem a bit strange though considering the NES Classic was sold at $60 and from its inception it was sold-out and being sold as high as like $200 online. If anything Nintendo is NOT taking advantage of the massive demand with the SNES classic by only going up to $80. They'd almost certainly sell them at $100.
