I don't think any of them are growing the market really that much, but I don't think by the same token any of them need to.
The market is huge and more people play games now than at any other era, it's just a lot of gaming happens to be done on smartphone for expanded audiences, but there's still plenty of room for traditional systems to make good money. It's never gonna be like the past though.
Wii - 100 mill + DS - 150 mill + PS3 - 85 mill + XBox 360 - 85 mill + PSP - 80 mill = 500 million systems
This gen ... and I'll be generous here in some of these totals and give the hardware manufacturers benefit of the doubt.
PS4- 110 mill + Switch 90-100 mill + XBox One - 60 mill + 3DS - 70 mill + Vita - 14 mill = 354 million systems
But because so many more people play on smartphones + tablets, there are more total people playing.
