Yes, but all that work creates many jobs for many years. I believe it would be a state-by-state approach to adopt it. And it'd put some of our metal factories to use again. I know 5-10yrs isn't long, but that does temporarily boost the economy and lower the unemployment rate!

I suppose they could just throw that into the big infrastructure bill that USA needs badly.  We spend trillions of dollars invading other countries but have left our own country to rot.  I wouldn't have a problem with it unless the signs were made in another country.

Exactly. Part of why I'm so done with politics. Both parties care too much about policing the world versus spending money on this country. Our education system is shit, balancing our min. wage + cost of living has been broken for decades, and there's been no attempt to fix the ever growing divide this country has. Imo, this country has had an open wound for at least 100yrs, and instead of sew it we've only left it, letting it get infected. If nothing is done either a. we'll lose our place as the no. 1 superpower or b. we'll see more successful states eventually succeed from the US. Neither are preferrable. The best thing Trump has done was open the floodgates. He's exposed how tunnel visioned both sides are, and hopefully will teach Americans to take their politics more seriously. That being said, Reps and Dems are only throwing shit at each other. Honestly, the only difference between the two is that at least the Republicans are honest about not giving a shit about the country.
