Doesn't seem like any of that matters as Smash, Pokemon, Mario Kart, etc. get directs anyway, and the ARMS direct was also a few weeks before release.

But Nintendo doesn't care about what you count lol. Sure that's true but game specific directs aren't limited to new IPs.
