Many of Nintendo's games have been getting a direct specifically focused on them, including the first Splatoon, so it would only makes sense that the sequel gets one too. Apart from that, while Splatoon 2 was at E3, they didn't reveal too much new about it, most certainly because they're holding the last major details for the direct. As for when, I'll say next week, specifically on Thursday (July 6th). As a bonus, I also think another Testfire session will happen the weekend before release (July 14th-16th) but instead of turf wars we'll have Salmon Run.
Now predict away, but be prepared to fight me if you're gonna say there wont be a direct!
