Other companies don't actively go out of their way to keep ex-employees from getting new jobs, lock up their current employees, reassign their devs to janitorial jobs, prevent their top guy (formerly) from attending and receiving his own award at the VGAs and keep ex-employees from receiving health insurance.
You know what else other companies don't do? Abandon their longtime fans who got them where they are today for stupid glorified gambling machines. It would be just like if Nintendo decided to pull the plug on console gaming because making porn magazines was more profitable for them. You can make all the excuses you want, people would RIGHTFULLY hate them for it. Inb4 "oh, it's sawnd bisnuss!"
