Replying to an older comment, but the actual increase in revenue was $9 million and the analyst said the increase in hardware sales was due to the Switch. 9 million divided by 300 is only 30,000 units. Japan sells ~24,000 a week. The US is a bigger market than Japan, so the numbers are much higher. With this in mind, PS4 likely saw a decline year-over-year. I point this out as everyone is cheering "YEAH PS4" but in reality, sales are likely down. Basically, it's the kind of a sand castle. EDIT: Also software is down 20 percent. This is mostly due to Overwatch I'm sure, but it coincides with the decline in PS4 hardware. |
Sales are not down YOY for it, they just told us it was up, and that its the fastest jan-may sales the PS4 has ever seen.
It sold 7m+ units in the first 5months (of 2017).
Maybe thats only world wide, and things are bad in the US? but I doubt it. I think your just wrong.
"basically its kinda of a sand castle"
Someone expecting sales to collasp soon huh? Guess we ll see in 2018.
I dont see why though, what causes its sales to drop like a rock in your opinion?
