But as others have said, 3.5 years of silence is not a good sign, not indicative of a production that is going well.

But those 3.5 years including Wii U, most likely they were working on Wii U game and they just moved project to Switch later when they started abandoning Wii U, so there wasnt any need to say anything about it. And now Switch is only 3-4 months on market and if they don't release it in 2017. they didn't need to talk about it now yet.
