My best guess is that Retros have two projects, one own and one co-developed, and I epxting that at least one will be released in 2018. |
If they're saving it for next year then it would be far enough along to show it, and when you're trying to make your system's future look bright at an event like E3, it makes more sense to show a big game from one of your flagship studios than second tier stuff like Kirby and Yoshi. Unless of course, Retro's game is itself a second tier game. Their games have been getting less ambitious for a long time now.
