As VR picks up, OTT TV becomes the standard for live TV, the OS continues to expand, and AAA 1st party titles keep dropping every few months, PS4 will continue to maintain huge sales momentum. If Sony introduces more form factors in 2018/2019, it could go as high as 30 Million units at some point. This is going to end up being the biggest platform Sony has ever had. PS4 is built on a much more versatile business model. They can go cheaper, they can expand to new form factors, and they can land more software than any PlayStation to date. PS4 offers more ways to play, to a wider audience than any PlayStation before it, and that will lead to it being the biggest selling PlayStation of all time. At least until PS5 expands the market even more. |
It's going to be such an enjoyable next few years watching it sell bucketloads.
