In my opinion Zelda 2 was a different approach to the franchise, not a great game but average... I wouldn't give it the "Bad" treatment.
Now... Skyward Sword on the other hand... I hated that game as a long time Zelda fan, the story was pretty cool but everything else just felt off, motion controls ruined the game beyond imagination for me. That's a terrible game to me, even tho I finished it twice because I wanted to like it but ended up hating it more on my second playthrough. :(
Sometimes I really wish Nintendo can take their gimmicks as a secondary option for their games or give us more options outside of the mechanics they introduce in a franchise, see ARMS for example. Motion controls are available but you can also control your character using a pro controller or docked joycons.
