Thats exactly what they expected their fans to do. I stood in line for one for 4 hours on release day, and was 14th in line. The store got 12.

Man that sucks but at least you were finally able to get one.  I would never drop money on the outrageous prices people were putting them up on Amazon and ebay.  I hope they realize their foul up and release it again along with the SNES.  It'd be nice if you could just order one through their online store and wait a few weeks to get it.  They could easily gauge supply and demand and not worry about overproducing it.  I know they want to sell VC games mainly through their eshops for higher profits but this is a product that some people can get that would otherwise not even consider buying a 3DS or Switch.
