I agree with you that 3DS won't be relevant this time next year, but you're wrong about them dropping existing systems. DS was supported well after 3DS released; it even had some exclusives like Pokémon and Solatorobo as well as tons of third party games. Btw, 3DS is getting an even better post support than DS... this year alone, the year of Switch's launch, it's getting exclusively Ever Oasis, Mario + Luigi: Superstar Saga, Metroid: Samus Returns, Hey! Pikmin, Fire Emblem Echoes, Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Miitopia and probably some stuff I forgot. It's amazing support! But yeah, next year, the 7th year after launch, it will be almost dead.

3 remakes, a mediocre spin-off, an enhanced version of an already existing game and a couple of low budget games is "amazing" support? Cause it feels very much like the crappy support a system gets after the release of its successor, and no better than the stuff the DS was getting in 2012.

False, I'd love the mainline series to be on switch. I just don't want to get my hopes up. We've had rpg like Pokemon games on consoles before and they haven't been the mainline series.

They also never referred to those games as "core" and weren't developed by Game Freak. Chill.

Yes, it's amazing support for such an old system with its successor on the market.3DS is also a handheld, and those generally have tons of remakes and low budget stuff. I guess you must have hated the GBA.

Btw, care to enlighten me how DS' 2012 support was better than this? Care to list more relevant exclusives and third party games?

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
