All your points are valid...at that price it will only cater to hardcore gamers or absolute fanboys. If Sony drops the price of the Pro to 349,- including a game, as they recently did at Days of Play, the Pro is going to sell like hot cakes...I'd even say it could cater to the mass market. Especially outside US/UK/AUS where the Xbox brand doesn't play a big role.
Microsoft will be forced to drop the price to 399,- within a year, again alienating the early buyers as they have done before. To me the biggest mistake was including the UHD BluRay drive in a time where UHD BluRays are pretty much a dead format, which won't change a lot in the coming years.
