If they had made a proper current gen sequel to Valkyria Chronicles 1 (not counting the psp games) for PS4/PC, with the same art style, it would be another Japanese success story like Nioh and Nier Automata. It is the type of game that would do amazingly well this gen thru word of mouth. Such a missed opportunity. |
Exactly, the entire franchise is a missed opportunity. The first one did great on the PS3 worldwide, but for some reason they decided to just focus on the Japanese market by moving it to the psp instead of trying to grow the franchise, they settled for niche. Makes me mad, makes me think of what sega did with shining force too. Stopped making games that people wanted and just started making weird ARPG's that nobody wanted...
