| Shadow1980 said: Honestly, after this past October being the worst October for the PS4 in the U.S., November being waaaay down YoY (that was a rough month overall for everyone), and December being flat YoY, I was concerned that the PS4 was definitely past its peak and that the Slim and Pro didn't do much for sales. But it seems that 2017 has so far proven those concerns wrong. The PS4 is selling faster than it ever has during the first half of the year. While we don't have anything for May yet, in the U.S. the Jan.-April period has seen PS4 sales higher than they were in the same period in previous years.
In Japan, Media Create has the PS4 up 19% YoY for the first 23 weeks of the year, and is 34% higher than the same period in 2015. Europe is unknown, and VGC is almost certainly undertracking the PS4 for 2017 in Europe just as it has for the U.S. (they still have the PS4 being slightly down YoY), but it's probably up YoY as well. If the PS4 can keep it up with being up YoY and if Q4 is stronger than it was last year, 19M globally this year is definitely possible. |
That's beautiful.
