I think people are smart enough to understand what a game is without needing a literal reference. Bioshock Infinite didn't need a 3 and neither did the Witcher. As long as the gameplay looks like it's from the same series, that's all I think should matter. I get it for this presentation, but going forward I hope the name changes. If the conflict is between Sylux and Samus now, and not Dark Samus or the Metroid Prime anymore, the name should reflect that. |
It seems to me that the name Prime has more to do with the playstyle that the Primes series introduced. There seems to be split coming in the Metroid games: 2D or 2,5D and 3D Prime. Prime could then be a different story/trilogy which is best. Prime would then mean first person adventure then a specific storyline.
