You shouldn't disrespect me for my opinion on Resistance and Gears though, here's why.
I agree that fans of those games shouldn't care in the least that said games run at 720p instead of 1080p. Even next gen on a 32" TV, there will be no difference. With a "smaller" HDTV, there is no difference whatsoever(and trust me at 4 feet, a 32" TV is all you want, period).
However, I'm not a fan of resistance, so I could are less. I didn't like the first game and I didn't like Gears of War. You might not think that has a lot to do with Resistance, but I can tell you, if you love Resistance, you'll love Gears.
The mediocre comment, admittedly, was a lot blow. Resistance isn't mediocre to a shooting fan, it's good. However to me, it's a medoicre titles, because I'm not a fan of said genre which is FPS and Dark Grey realism. I think Bioshock is a billion times better than Resistance.
So, to be fair to you, I did hit resistance with a low blow and it didn't deserve it. Hey, this is the internet, I say things without thinking sometimes.
However, my point was valid and it should be inferred that fans of this game shouldn't take this little "haha" thread about the game as anything other than tech-boy laff type gibberish that means very little or nothing. It is excellent that these developers are sticking with quality over numberXnumber resolution, which nobody can really tell the difference from anyway.
The fact that I don't even care for this game should only serve to prove that my opinion is genuine, and not related to any bias generated towards this game, which fans of the game should find much more encouraging than they find my opinion that said game isn't my cup of tea, discouraging.
