Azzanation said: The problem with Pro is its lack of identity. What it is? A 4k console? A VR PS4 console? Its confusing to the mass market because it doesnt render true 4k most times and well VR hasnt exactly lifted off the ground to boost Pros stance on the market. Like myself, its going to go well plugged into my 4k/HDR TV next to my $2k PC. Premium products are for premium buyers. I want to buy a Pro but it cant sell itself. Seems more like a X1S upgrade only more dramatic. |
It hasn't nothing to do with lack of identity. The pro was supposed to be a vr, streaming hybrid for 4K preview for higher tier consumers who wanted a higher end console. Microsoft always follows what Sony does and markets it better. Look at the Kinect. Sony knew it wouldn't be safe Or affordable to push true 4K since they develop the tech. Microsoft does not but yes Microsoft is World Class at marketing. The pro has just as much identity as the xox xas they are just consoles. What gives a console identity is what it does and the content that's put on it. Sony and Microsoft make straight forward consoles
