Well, it's pretty darn close if you ask me. In November it will be even cheaper. Get rid of that optical drive (no one needs that on PC) and in November 500 $ should be easily enough for dat 6 TF. Will games on that machine run as good as on X1X? We don't know. But I can promise you that such a PC will run just about anything you throw at it. Even in 4K with 60 fps. Because the beauty of PC gaming is options. If you really want native 4K and 60 fps, just turn down all the effects and stuff. There you go. On X1X you're stuck with whatever the hell devs give you.
Personally, I think X1X is too expensive. The hardware itself might be just worth it, but price was always a huge advantage for consoles. You didn't buy a console because it was just as strong as a PC that costs the same or slightly more. Besides, the bigger factor than PC is the PS4 Pro. No one will get an X1X when the PS4 Pro is 100 $ cheaper (or possibly even more by November). It's just not worth it.
