Not for me it wont. 

I will be playing those games and also ollder games that are getting updated like Halo 5 and Forza Horzion 3 and any game coming in the future.

Will it be monster enough to bring Halo 5 up from it's sub 1080p res all the way to a locked native 4k/60 though? do you really believe the system is that much more powerful than the base model X1?

That is a record low of just 933,120 pixels considering that 1080p is 2,073,600 and 4k would be asking the machine to push 8,294,400 or 8.8x the lowest that the X1 offered in the same game. There is a difference between thinking a console will be impressive... and thinking a console is almost 9 times of an upgrade.
