Screw that, makes sequels. If you guys really wanted Wii U games you should've bought a Wii U.

Its not so simple, some people loved some Wii U games but they didn't want to buy failed console without future just for few games. You can't really ignore fact that Wii U is failed console with very small instal base but with some great games, so of course that Nintendo will port and improve some of best Wii U games to new platform that will have much bigger base and that will actually offer full handheld play compared to Wii U.

Seriously. Forget the salty fans- if it means more people get to enjoy legendary games such as Mario Kart or Mario Maker, then so be it

Buy a Wii U, I'm allowed to be as salty as I want.

Taking away from new games just to make stupid ports.

You can't buy Wii U, Wii U is discounted and it can't be found in stores. And of course that people will buy new console with hole life instead to play better versions of Mario Kart or Zelda BotW than buying failed console.

You do realise that port is not equal new game!? Port can be done in 6 months with small team for small amount of money, new game in Nintendo case usually requires 2-3 years of development with incomparible bigger team and financial expenses. So its not like that we could have MK9 and Pokken Tournament 2 in 2017. instead MK8D and Pokken Tournament DX.

If you're buying a system just for ports, then why even buy the Switch? Just wait 5 years and they'll "port" all the good Switch games to their next console.

Nobody really buying console just for ports, but good ports of great games are great addition for any console, especially if they are from failed console with small instal base where only small number was able to play it compared to new console that will have much bigger instal base.
