There's a lot of uphill issues for Nintendo. Obviously the hardware makes some ports hard, but it still doesn't entirely explain why games like South Park: Fractured But Whole, Tekken 7, and Marvel Vs. Capcom aren't coming to Switch from supposedly "pro Nintendo" third parties.
I think we also need to realize, when the Wii launched, the XBox 360 was only at about what? 10 million install base? And PS3 was at 0 and started off extremely slow.
Switch is coming into a market where PS4 + XB1 have sold almost 100 million systems already.
Unfortunately, Switch may not be a priority for a lot of devs, even Japanese devs for a while sadly (all the major Japanese IP are now on PS4).
What you might see are a lot of smartphone/legacy title ports once devs wake up and decide to throw out some content. So things like PS3/360 or older ports. We're just gonna have to accept it I guess. Beggars can't be choosers.
