Their friends are most likely to own a ps4 and thus they are forced into buying one, MS would do the exact same thing. Now that MS isn't close to being the market-leader they're pushing for cross-play, beause it gives them an advantage, and takes away an advantage from sony. It's win-win for MS, if sony accept then more people are free to buy an Xbox and still play with their friends who own a ps4, if sony refuse they can use it as negative PR against sony. And that's exactly what they're doing, using this as negative PR. |
Exactly. Same thing that happened last gen when Sony was suggesting crossplay while in the rear. Anyone who thinks MS is suddenly this altruistic company that is only pushing crossplay because it is "the right thing for gamers" or whatever are fooling themselves.
