It's win-win for MS, if sony accept then more people are free to buy an Xbox and still play with their friends who own a ps4, if sony refuse they can use it as negative PR against sony. Exactly. Same thing that happened last gen when Sony was suggesting crossplay while in the rear. Anyone who thinks MS is suddenly this altruistic company that is only pushing crossplay because it is "the right thing for gamers" or whatever are fooling themselves.
