It'll be interesting. It all depends on whether or not the series can break that niche barrier. Being multiplayer helps with that, and Capcom seems to think it can; however, they thought the same for other series that had much more success already in the west when they changed the mechanics and that often backfired. Monster hunter has a steep learning curve for a reason, and this makes the series niche in the West. If they remove the learning curve, I can only see them doing that by making the game not Monster Hunter, but people keep insisting that it will feel like Monster Hunter. So it all depends on how Capcom implements it. One thing is for sure is that the game is not going to sell in the West based on brand. It needs to get great reviews and have mass-appeal.
