I know, weird right? It's almost as if criminals don't bother to follow the laws or something lol.
Actually, believe it or not this guy had a permit and did not have any criminal history in his background, so no law on the books or proposed would've stopped him from legally purchasing a gun, so the whole "we need universal background checks!" argument goes out the window, because this guy would've been able to buy a gun pretty much anywhere legally.
Same as the Orlando shooter last year, who despite being flagged by the FBI on multiple occasions still was able to legally purchase a fire arm because he had the proper permits and no criminal history (yet).
