Well, I was hoping to let the shitstorm clear before posting my two cents, but on it rages, so bugger it.

I was very skeptical of this game when it was first shown. I thought the reveal trailer looked very generic and lifeless. After watching the Treehouse segment, the new trailer, and checking out some of the music tracks, it's gone from "not interested yet" to "will probably buy" in my mind.

I still find the art style rather uninspired, but the world seems much more lively and appealing than it initially seemed, the music is superb, the news that it will be more story-focussed like the first game is great to hear, and the return of British VA is a big win in my book. The latter three points are particularly significant as they mean three of my main gripes with XCX seem to have been addressed.

I had held out hope that this would be one of those games that looked blah when first revealed but improved in the run up to release, and thankfully this appears to be the case.

Yeah, I noticed you kept your head down.  Thought for sure you would be one of the first in this thread after you got don't dancing in the street over the return of proper Metroid (both kinds) :P

I get that some don't like the character design, but you gotta admit the artistic designs of the creatures, the titans (which are also the land), and even some of the Blades are pretty tight.  And yeah, the music is amazing.

I personally find the concept of the setting a very cool and natural expansion on Xenoblade Chronicles:  more Titans that are this time alive and moving.  I really hope that we get an airship we straight up control so we can manually go from Titan to Titan, that would be pretty kickass.
