I don't know about all that. I think the combat in Zelda is one of the game's best features. The story is rather beautiful as well, and surprisingly wistful.

That said, I won't be purchasing the DLC. If one game doesn't require DLC it's Breath of the Wild. The base game has enough content for hundreds of hours of gameplay.

I agree it doesn't NEED any DLCs.  But... Since this is the best game many people played in years [myself included] , having even more added to it is a blessing! :D

The first DLC seems to be similar to the Eventide Island, which I really enjoyed.

The story DLC is still a mystery right now. I enjoyed the story of Breath of the Wild, and thought the way it was unfolded suited the nature of the game. But if this DLC will get a more "engaged" story (one that doesn't get revealed through flashback sequences, I'm curious to see how they pull it off. I for one am curious to see and play through the events that led to Link's 100 years long slumber in the Resurection Chamber.

As far as I'm concerned, more Zelda Breath of the Wild can't be a bad thing. On the contrary.
