This is amazing news to me because I've wanted Retro to work on their own IP for ages now, and if the game they're doing isn't Metroid I think it will be a new IP. Which would line up perfectly with why they had some trouble getting approval and why it's taking them so long. Maybe a lot of unexpected hiccups with their vision.
