This is why you have a dedicated PC, just like you have a dedicated console. Do you move your console from room to room regulary, I would assume not since most people don't.

With a PC connected to your TV you can use it as a media only platform and navigate it with an Xbox controller, PS4 Controller or a Steam controller. You can quickly download a torrent then move over to the game you want to play and have better quality. That way you get to use your nice 4K TV and don't have to move your PC from room to room.

However, I think you missed this perosn's point, they were not talking about contantly moving your PC from room to room but rather to move your PC to your living/media room and then maybe just getting a smaller box to do more work related stuff, or have two amazing PC's that can run all games. One being relegated to Couch gaming and the other to more standard PC gaming. 

I have a plex setup and yes I have all the media capability using the X1/PS4 and the app streaming media from my PC.  I need a decent machine to do development work not going to purchase another PC just for gaming.  Your ideal sounds good but it also sound costly.
