Even given another entire year in ALL regions PS2 is only 10 million ahead on shipments. So I disagree.

Anyway Nintendo e3 is staaarting!

PS4 shipped 60 million as of March 2017, thats 3 years in Japan with an extra quarter in the west.

PS2 shipped 12.7 in Japan in 3 years, 29.53 in America & 24.56 in PAL in 3 years and 1 quarter.

 

Launches aligned PS2 was about 7 million ahead of PS4 as of the last shipment update.
