Considering the Switch is very similar, graphically, to the Wii U, it would be kind of silly for them to make an actual sequel to MK on the Switch. It's not like a series with story that you could make a sequel to. They should probably just wait until their next device and have it at launch with that. I think they've learned with the Switch's success that having a bunch of your top gun games in the first few months after launch is the way to do things.

However, I'd like another MK DLC or two and this would be the perfect time for Diddy Kong Racing or F-Zero, games that wouldn't feel redundant like MK9 would right now.
