This thread isn't really about current XBO owners, though. I do think there are probably more who are disappointed than are happy with it, but still, that's not what I'm talking about. This is more about general interest from consumers, which then go on to buy the system. If the sales on Amazon and Gamestop are anything to go by, E3 did nothing for the XBO. People are just not interested in purchasing it. This E3 needed to change that around if XBO's fortunes are to change.
When you say "of the lot," I take it you mean their previous E3 conferences and not the other Big 2. I agree it had a much better flow to it than the past ones. But, the content that was shown was definitely not of the caliber of the past ones. I mean, many the titles they showed were timed exclusive indies or multiplats. And while they looked good, that's not going to get people to buy your system. Especially when those indies will also be 4K on the Pro and the AAA multiplats will look 90%-95% the same on the Pro. And boy, did Crackdown take a hit on the visuals. |
But the Xbox One X isn't even available for preorder yet so isn't it a bit to soon to say E3 did nothing for it?
