I won't lie. For E3, I had my expectations in check for everyone. EA was nothing spectacular, Ubisoft was decent, and Microsoft felt bittersweet.

With Bethesda, I wasn't expecting much. It's not as though I wanted a new Fallout and Half-life 3 and 4 to be announced by them. You'd think that low standards from EA's e3 and reality checks would help, but in the end they still disappointed.

What seemed to be the most disappointing thing was their paid mods. What on earth are they attempting to do? This feels like a flop before it even releases. The PC community loves mods, but are they something players will fork cash over? Perhaps they are, perhaps not- I'm not knowledgeable enough to know.

I won't lie, it wasn't the worst show I've ever seen (that goes to Kinect and Nintendo 2008). They finally aren't showing games which are coming 20 years later, Wolfenstein II is intriguing, and the length of the show was reasonable. However, outside of what I mentioned, I can't help but not feel a bit underwhelmed.

Skyrim for Switch seems to add on the insult. Skyrim definitely was a legendary game when it released, but many open world games have surpassed it. Why doesn't Bethesda develop a new Elder Scrolls? Is the demand for a new one gone, or is there something that I am overlooking?
