Nintendo needs to put its full weight behinde the Switch.
Sooner rather than later, so the Switch can be as big as success story for them as they need.
Also 3DS hardware is feeling pretty dated by now.
Time to move on, so handheld users can get something better looking, or new experiances allowed by more power from the switch.
