I believe some people will be surprised that Switch does kind of average if it goes into this holiday with just Mario as it's only seller. Of course, average would be multiple times bigger than Wii U ever did, and it's still only year one, so it's all good overall. But if Switch doesn't get Pokemon, it's chances of a 1m+ November and December NPD are slim |
It doesnt work like that. People that will be buying Switch in holiday season won't be buying Switch just because of Mario Odyssey, but because Mario Odyssey and Zelda BotW, MK8D, Splatoon 2, ARMS, Fire Emblem Warriors, Monster Hunter...and some other games.
Also you need to consider that even now with only Zelda BotW and MK8D that are out, people can't get Switch because stock situation, and when more games are out (ARMS, Splatoon2, Fire Emblem Warriors, Monster Hunter, Mario Odyssey..) demand for Switch will be just stronger, espacily in holiday season. So real question is if Nintendo will have enuf stocks and regular availability for holiday season.

they were announced at Sony's E3 conference just like those 3rd party Switch games were announced at their event. its literally the same situation so you are using double standards here. |
Basically, he trying to downplay Nintendo while in same time ignoring fact that 3rd party (or Sony itself) doing same thing on Sony conferences.
