Yeah, which is why the "no exclusives" thing is a problem. If they could show off their VR (wireless,or wired) and let's say a good 3 to 5 games then they could at least sell themselves as the "VR of your dream". Without any until 2018 (probably around E3?) they lose a selling point. I've already seen several posts that were like "Scorpio +VR = dream machine" or a variation of that. It would give the Scorpio an edge. A selling point. More than just "we have power" it would be "we have the power for VR". |
Depends on what Microsoft is going for. As a consumer that doesnt want to spend thousands of dollars on a PC that wants an xbox console they can get the xb1s or scorpio. If they want something that future proof and powerful that can run 4k games then they will get a Scorpio(as long as its under $45 imo). If the consumer just wants a console that can play games for the next few years they will just buy the XB1S. I imagine Microsoft plans to make the Scorpio the mainstream xbox and release the scorpio 2 while dropping support for the XB1S sometime around 2020/2021.
