It already has 3D mario, Zelda, Splatoon and Xenoblade in one single year plus a remaster of a Mario Kart. That's already one heck of a lineup. Plus there are even more, unmentioned games like ARMS, Fire Emblem Heroes or Snipperclips, not to forget some actual third party support and loads of indies.

Really, with all this, releasing a Pokemon (or something similarly big like a Smash title) this year would be pure overkill and only thin out the lineup for the following years. The Pokkén Remaster is already overkill for me, as it fills up a spot already taken by Fire Emblem Warriors (assuming Q3 2017 is still correct, of couse - which would then most likely be in late August to not overlap with Splatoon 2 or Pokkén, though it would miss Obon Week then)

This gives us a possible lineup for this year:

March: Zelda BotW
April: MK8 Deluxe
June: ARMS
July: Splatoon 2
August: Fire Emblem Warriors
September: Pokkén Tournament
October: Xenoblade 2
November: Super Mario Odyssey

Simply can't get much better than this from Nintendo

This is more complete list for whole year:

-Zelda: Breath of the Wild
-1 2 Switch
-Snipperclips
-Mario Kart 8D
-Arms
-Splatoon 2
-Mario + Rabbids (exlusive game with Nintendo IP)
-Pokken Tournament DX
-Fire Emblem Warriors
-Mario Odyssey
-Xenoblade 2
